Central medal pattern, also known as central sunflower.

The grand medal is located in the center of the carpet, protected by the border, which represents the supernatural world and the "gate of the sun" which is very close to heaven. Most of them appear in geometric form, curved form or circular, arched or polygonal form.


Arab Vain

Is the representative of Persian designs since the 16th century. The rattan pattern has no head and tail, it continuous and endlessly repeated, promotes meditation, and the abstract form resists the temptation of excessive worship, and at the same time expresses that the gods have no boundaries.


Prayer Rug

 There are windows or doors-like patterns above the blanket surface of prayer blanket, with niches inside, all of which point to one direction-Mecca, the holy land, representing the "Heaven Arch", or the inside is decorated with a vase, and sometimes the lamp of Lord Allah is hung at the top of the vault.

 It was the 17th century Persian artists who looked at their imperial gardens from an idealized perspective, which inspired them. The gardens were divided into square areas by waterways, and consisted of streams, flowers, animals, jungles and other patterns.


Portrait & Animal pattern

Portrait patterns and animal patterns began to appear in the 16th century, which can be said to have broken the old habits of Islamic culture, because the Sunni Sect of Islam forbids visualization and imitates the creation of gods. However, Persian Shiite artists stick to the Persian cultural tradition and do not strictly abide by this rule, so these visualization patterns are displayed in a naturalistic way and only used to express the concept of heaven.
